I saw the movie today and came away feeling as though it was one of the best offerings of the series so far. Yeah..yeah..yeah... there was only a fleeting glimpse of newsprint Lucius, I know. But as for the movie itself... I loved it! Didn't care for selection of Narcissa at all....sorry... Felt really sorry for Draco....=( Jim Broadbent was excellent! A genius in his role. Wanted to kill Snape in the end... but then understood his dilemma. Was very, very moved and yes, I shed a tear or two....ok THREE! Particularly noticeable this time was more "acting" from the players and a little less "special effects overkill" as some have been to me before. Though what special effects were there...we absolutely stunning and just the right amount. The soundtrack really stood out to me in this film for probably the first time in all the previous movies....must purchase! Some very hauntingly beautiful arrangements in there.
I think it was a very appropriate "lull" before we head on into The Death Hallows. It certainly was a good set-up for the next movies that follow, in my books!
